Since 1984, I have been a continuous member of the South Carolina Bail Agents Association. I have
held all offices including President for two years. I have been a member of the Board of Directors
continuously each year since 1984 through 2007. I was their lobbyist for 8 years.
I have owned three P & C insurance offices and part owner in four others, two of which were in
North Carolina.
From 1965 through 1987 I was a member of the following civic clubs: Civitan, Sertoma, Optimas,
Jaycees, Kiawanas.
I previously owned two bail bond companies in North Carolina.
I have trained ten bail bond agents in my company since 1984, six of whom are still in the bail bond
business, and one went on to become a successful doctor in Columbia South Carolina, Dr. Will
Floyd.
As an approved bail bond course Instructor under the South Carolina Department of Insurance, I
have assisted other instructors with approximately 15 classes and conducted approximately five of
my own using their approved material.
I am presently filed in 16 counties and also do bonds all over the State including federal bonds.
I am presently in the process of organizing two state associations, the South Carolina Professional
and Surety Bondsman Association and the South Carolina Alcohol/Electronic/Satellite Monitoring
Association.
